  2. Unexpected and unavoidable posting overseas of the bride or bridegroom as a serving member of the armed services.
  3. Premises being unable to hold the ceremony due to an outbreak of an infectious or contagious disease, damage to venue, closure by local authority, bankruptcy or liquidation.

Why are there 9 levels of cover?

We have created 9 cover levels to give you choices. If the cost of your wedding is £6,000 then there is no need for you to pay the same as someone whos wedding is costing £50,000.

Our 9 options reflect the sum insured you are covered for.

Examples

  1. Level 1 will cover Cancellation and expenses up to £7,500
  2. Level 2 £10,000
  3. Level 3 £12,500
  4. Level 4 £17,500
  5. Level 5 £25,000
  6. Level 6 £30,000
  7. Level 7 £35,000
  8. Level 8 £40,000
  9. Level 9 £50,000

This scale operates on all the sections within our policy. This way you only pay for the level you need.

Will I need to pay an excess?

The standard excess is £25 for cover levels 1 to 4. For levels 5 to 7 the excess is £35 and levels 8 and 9 the excess is £50.

Under all levels the excess for Public Liabilty claims is £250 (Except in the USA and Canada where Public Liabilty is excluded).

Are there restrictions on which countries we can get married

The only restriction on cover is the deletion of Public Liability if you are getting married in the USA or Canada.

If I buy this policy will I still need Travel Insurance?

There are many aspects of a travel insurance policy that can not be included in a wedding policy so you should definately consider buying travel insurance.

Examples of what a travel insurance will provide:

  1. Medical Expenses
  2. Repatriation
  3. Hospital Benefit
  4. Additional Accommodation
