Can I take this opportunity of thanking you on your prompt and efficient service (breakdown recovery) I received recently when I broke down 100 miles away from my home. I was just leaving my mothers to travel home when I noticed I had a flat tyre. I have been driving for over 30 years and have never had a flat tyre and hadn't a clue what to do!

The Maidenhead breakdown company was there within half an hour and fixed the spare tyre on straight away. Fantastic - now my mother is going to take out your breakdown cover too.

I was insured with another car insurer and was offended by the fact that even with full no claims bonus, after numbers of years, their loyalty dept had no authority to reduce the premium offered which was in fact only £1 different from the previous year even with full no claims and this made me look around. Call Connect gave me two names to contact and whilst you were not actually the cheapest your handling of my enquiry gave me confidence and I am happy that the policy is placed with Liverpool Victoria and that name has been around even longer than my 77 years.

Hi. This is just to say thanks for helping when my exhaust snapped on Friday. The guy from ROBERT & THOMAS who had driven for an hour to get to us, due to us being up a mountain in Wales, managed to do a temporary fix. This got us all the way home, rather than have to be recovered. So it's a big thanks to the guy I spoke to on the phone, who was very helpful and to the recovery firm.

I wanted to drop you a quick letter in order to register how pleased I was when I recently dealt with your customer service team recently.


I think it was on the 9th August I rang up as it was the anniversary of my renewal date for the Bronze cover I have on my Toyota Yaris. I rang a little sheepish as I hadn't got any documentation on me about my policy as I was stopping at my partners and was even uncertain I had dialled the right department. I want to say how professional the gentleman was, I wish I remembered his name. He didn't make me feel embarrassed for not having the documentation he just asked me efficient questions then instead of telling me I had potentially got the wrong people he simply stated "Ok I'm going to pass you to a colleague now who can complete your request". In the back of my head I was dreading this as I am not good on the telephone so was promptly working out my script again to relay to the colleague as is often practiced in companies that you are just passed from pillar to post. To my surprise they had already spoken to the person on my behalf and a couple of efficient questions later I was shocked it was done! My partner who witnessed my face also wondered what was going on! The two gentleman were superb and I wanted to tell you that as often sorting affairs via the telephone is usually hell and to have 2 representatives who treated me so well was nothing short of a miracle and they are a credit to your company and can highly believe this is probably the case across the board. Fortunately over my years business with you I have only had to call you for an emergency once and touch wood I don't need to shortly in the future but if I received that level of service it would be extremely pleasurable. I am very pleased to have renewed my cover with you. I hope that there is a chance you could track the 2 people directly down (we found one was Jon Stevens) and give them this feedback so it may hopefully make my day as it did me!


Lastly, I just want to stress that no I am not related to anyone in your company and definitely noone's mum or anything like that, so I'm not biased nor anyone's number one fan. I just wanted to thank you!

I was traveling to Horwich from Sussex with my elderly Mum when my car just stopped. I called IC, they had someone there within 45 minutes - and within the hour, we were on our way again. Just brilliant all round. There doesn't seem to be a weblink for the service company (Greenmeadow, Newbury) for me to contact them and also thank them for their superb speed and experience (the mechanic that came out was polite and very experienced. My Mum was very worried and he told her not to worry - one way or the other, we'd be home by early evening. Just a great guy). Perhaps you could contact them for me - and pass on my sincere thanks. I took a policy out with you on 23rd September having had breakdown policies all my life as part of my insurance policies. On the 29th whilst traveling to Halesowen from the North of Scotland my battery overheated. Having never been in such a situation in almost 40 years of driving I was stuck at a service station. I got in touch with you having only a web reference number and by the time I had a cup of tea the breakdown truck arrived and I was taken to my daughters home 100 miles further on, safe and sound. I cannot praise your service enough and if you forward me leaflets to advertise you company I shall only be too pleased to do that.

I had to send you this email to thank you very much for the service you provided to us whilst we were away in Spain. We took out the break down cover on the 7th September 2008 because we were touring Spain from the 7th until the 23rd September on our motor bike, unfortunately we had a problem on the last night of our holiday and the clutch fluid leaked and we could not get the top off the reservoir, we phone the number on the policy and the man we spoke to was very helpful and because we were leaving the hotel early the next morning he arranged for a man to come to the hotel that night at 10pm and the problem was solved in about 45 minutes. From the first phone call to report the fault to the mechanic leaving was 2 ½ hours.

I must congratulate you on the speed & efficiency of your service. I will be recommending you to our friends & family. We can go aboard again with the knowledge that we have a good breakdown cover but let's just hope we don't need it.

Where have you been all my life!!! It was really great to do business with you today. I can't remember when I had such good service from anyone. I don't know how much commission you earned from this sale but it wasn't enough!.

In all the years we have been sailing we have never found anyone to cover us for a holiday which involved us sailing outside the 12 mile limit and I really only mentioned this to you as an aside. However, you picked up on this and were straight on the case and came back with an excellent result. We sail to Holland at least once a year, and also Belgium and France, but have just relied on our Marine Boat Insurance for personnel effects and kept our fingers crossed for everything else.

I can't thank you enough for the help you gave us in sorting out our travel insurance before going on holiday. As I explained to you at the time we had taken out insurance with our tour operator Thomson.
Unfortunately, a couple of weeks before we were due to go I had to have some tests, the results of which were not complete by the time of our departure. When we contacted our insurers to let them know they said our insurance policy for anything else other than luggage loss would be void. The person we spoke to didn't even bother to look up our details. She was most abrupt and unhelpful. You can imagine the panic we felt at this point.
We saw your advert on the internet and contacted you. You dealt with our problem so professionally and with such kindness and understanding. You really put our mind at rest and everything arrived within 48 hours. It made such a difference to our holiday. Other companies could certainly take a lesson from you.

Yes I did purchase a policy and I must say how impressed I am - at the cost, obviously, at the turnaround - I have my documents already - and the follow up phone call.

I hadn't heard of IC breakdown before and only came across you on a compare website after having a renewal quote from my previous provide.

I might even look to you for other insurance policies. Just wanted to give you some feed back - you are welcome to share!

I have this afternoon received an excellent annual travel insurance quote from your sales adviser Ryan (a most polite, patient and considerate young man who has a very pleasant telephone manner).


I informed him that I have recently experienced a tremendous amount of difficulty in securing reasonable travel insurance for my wife and me because of age and pre-existing conditions.


I chanced to glance at your advertisement the Royal British Legion magazine and I hope that I have struck gold with a most reasonable quotation for annual insurance cover which I intend to take out at the earliest opportunity to coincide with our 2008/2009 holiday travel plans.


The purpose of this communication is to gently suggest to you that with minor tweaking of your advertisement in the RBL and other magazines in which you advertise, I suggest that you would almost certainly generate a substantially higher volume response from us greybeards especially those retired from the Services.


I fully intend to purchase an annual travel policy from your company as soon as practicable.


Please give your boy Ryan a hearty well-done - he deserves it!
