How to reduce your classic car insurance premium
Classic Car premiums are partly calculated on the mileage requested. Obviously the less mileage you do the more competitive the premium becomes.

Ask yourself what mileage you do in your classic car?

Is it a second vehicle?

Only used at weekends?
If your unsure, minimise it:

5000 miles equates to 416 miles per month or 96 miles per week and that's every week of the year!

3000 miles equates to 250 miles per month or 57 miles per week and again that's every week of the year!
By breaking your mileage down to monthly or even weekly, you can get a better idea of what mileage best suits you.
Classic Car Modifications
More and more Classic vehicles do have some form of modification, whether it be mechanical or cosmetic.
This, in some cases, is purely due to the age of the vehicle and is a necessity.
Most vehicles with a modification are done to improve the vehicle mechanically to make the vehicle run better. Insurance companies appreciate that for the upkeep of the vehicle, it is a requirement. Taking the above into account, the insurers we deal with will not penalise you for this.
Wedding Use
Wedding Use is available on all of our classic car insurance policies:
- Wedding use is available on a full time & part time basis
- Full Time - Is classed as 3-4 times per month
- Part Time - Is classed as 1-2 times per month
- We can also accommodate a request for wedding use when required as a one-off
- Any income received from this is designed to pay towards the upkeep of the vehicle.
Salvage retention
Insurance companies we deal with appreciate that your Classic car can be one of your prized possessions:
- Following a total loss, we will give you the option to buy back the salvage from the insurance company
- If your vehicle has a lot of sentimental value, this is a benefit that would be of interest to you
- A lot of hard work and time may have been put into restoring the vehicle
